Bearing Fruit devotional
The Sabbath Psalm
A devotional on Sabbath rest
Psalm 92
2:06

A reflection for today
Psalm 92 is a song for the Sabbath, giving rest a shape that is more than stopping work. It turns our attention toward God’s faithfulness and makes room to receive the day as a gift.
Rest can feel difficult when our minds are still measuring what has not been finished. Psalm 92 gives us a plainer starting place, and Jesus invites the weary to come to Him for rest (Matthew 11:28). Turn to God in the morning and again in the evening, and let praise and remembrance frame the hours between.
Sabbath is a practice of trusting that God remains faithful while we rest, even before everything is done.
A simple practice
Choose a morning or evening this week to read Psalm 92 slowly. Afterward, name one sign of God’s faithfulness from the day.
