What is Temptation Help?

Temptation Help is a free Christian web tool from Bearing Fruit that helps you pause, pray, remember Scripture, and take one faithful next step when temptation, shame, anxiety, anger, loneliness, or weariness feels urgent.

What should I do when I am tempted?

Start by pausing before you act. Pray honestly, remember a short Scripture, create distance from the trigger, and take one concrete faithful step such as leaving the room, putting the phone down, or reaching out to someone you trust.

What if I already gave in?

Return to God now. Confess honestly, receive mercy in Christ, avoid hiding, and choose one repair step such as apologizing, removing a trigger, or telling a trusted person.

Is this addiction recovery or therapy?

No. This is a spiritual support tool. It does not provide therapy, addiction treatment, crisis care, or medical advice. If you have been stuck for a while, also reach out to a pastor, counselor, doctor, or trusted support person.

What if I might hurt myself or someone else?

If you may hurt yourself or someone else, call emergency services now. In the US, call or text 988 (988lifeline.org). In Mexico, call Línea de la Vida at 800 911 2000. In Brazil, call CVV at 188. Outside the US, call your local emergency number.

Do I need the Bearing Fruit app to use this?

No. The web tool is free and does not require an account, email address, or app install. Bearing Fruit is available if you want ongoing Scripture, prayer, and holy habit support.
