Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Bearing Fruit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Bearing Fruit for personal, non-commercial spiritual formation purposes.

You may not:

Modify or copy the app
Use the app for commercial purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer the software
Remove any copyright or proprietary notations

Platform Availability

Bearing Fruit is currently available on iPhone and iPad through the App Store and on Android through Google Play. Features and availability may change as the product evolves.

Pricing and Optional Support

Bearing Fruit is free to use. There is no required subscription or paywall to access spiritual practices.

We may invite optional support through one-time or monthly gifts on our support page. These gifts are voluntary and do not unlock exclusive spiritual content.

Payments

Optional support payments made in the mobile app are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. Support payments made through the website are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

User Content

You retain all rights to content you create in the app (prayers, journal entries, etc.). This content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. If you use groups, the name you choose, the days you read, and your prayer taps are sent to our servers so your group can see them (see Groups below).

Groups (Practice Together)

Groups let you read through a guided path, such as Advent or Lent, with people you invite. Everyone in a group sees each other's names, a light on the days each person reads (if they choose to show it), and “I prayed for you” taps. There is no chat. For now, groups are for adults (18 and older).

By starting or joining a group, you agree to these group guidelines:

Use your own name. A first name is enough; add an initial if someone else in the group has the same one.
Don't use a name that pretends to be someone else, poses as God, or claims to speak for Bearing Fruit.
Don't use a name that is hateful, sexual, threatening, or harassing, or that mocks anyone's faith.
Share your group's invite link only with people you want to read with.
Don't use groups to advertise, to collect information about other people, or to pressure anyone.

Zero tolerance for abuse. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. If someone breaks these guidelines, we may change or remove their name, remove them from a group, close the group, or stop them from using groups, without notice.

Reporting, hiding, and removing. You can report a name from the group's settings, or by emailing [email protected]. The person you report isn't told. We aim to act on every report within 24 hours. You can also hide anyone in a group: you won't see them, and they can't send you prayer taps. The person who started a group can remove anyone from it. They still see people who have hidden them, so they can still remove them. Someone who is removed can't rejoin, and the group gets a new invite link.

Groups may change. Groups are new. We may pause new groups, change how they work, or end the feature. What we keep about groups, and when we delete it, is in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

Bearing Fruit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

Spiritual Guidance: Bearing Fruit is a tool for personal spiritual formation. It is not a substitute for pastoral care, licensed counseling, legal advice, or medical treatment.

Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
