Bearing Fruit devotional
Worship With Your Whole Self
A devotional on embodied worship
Psalm 95:6
1:28

A reflection for today
Worship is more than the thoughts we have about God. Psalm 95:6 invites us to come before him with our whole selves. Our bodies can join our hearts in reverence, gratitude, and surrender.
Bowing, kneeling, lifting hands, or opening our palms are not ways to manufacture a spiritual feeling. They are simple postures that help us pay attention to the God we are approaching and express what we mean when words feel small.
There is freedom here: the point is not a prescribed gesture, but an honest offering of your whole self to God.
A simple practice
Set aside one minute to pray with open palms or bowed head. Let your posture become a simple way to say, “God, I am here before you.”
Build a gentle rhythm of returning
Bearing Fruit helps you make room for prayer, Scripture, and the practices that keep turning your heart toward Christ.
