When You're Still Angry Tonight
The sun went down hours ago, and you're still angry. Paul warns against holding on to anger, and Jesus shows what to do when you've been wronged. A one-minute word and prayer before you go to sleep.
Ephesians 4:26-27, 1 Peter 2:23
1:05

1 Peter 2:23
Read along
The sun went down hours ago, and you're still angry.
Paul warns against holding on to anger.
“Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Ephesians 4:26-27
The anger you take to bed tends to dig in. By morning it can harden into a grudge, and you're replaying the argument in the shower.
Jesus knows what it's like to be wronged.
When they heaped abuse on Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats, but entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.
1 Peter 2:23
Before you sleep, do one thing. If you owe an apology, send it. If you're the one who was wronged, tell God what happened and leave it with Him.
Lord Jesus, You saw what happened today. Cool my anger, guard my mouth, and teach me to forgive the way You forgave me. Amen.
Watch and pray.
